  10. hi i would like to know if when you self-publish a book at wordclay if you can earn money and if the book can really be published

  11. alexis,

In regards to your questions, you can definitely publish your book at Wordclay, and you can also earn money selling your book.

Essentially, the difference between self-publishing and traditional publishing is one of control.

While a traditional publisher will design and promote your book however they want, with self-publishing you get to control the design and promotion of your publication. Otherwise, the way people order books is the same. It is a legit, official form of publishing. Even Walt Whitman self-published. And famous titles today such as James Redfield’s The Celestine Prophecy and Irma Rombauer’s The Joy of Cooking, among others, are self-published.

To earn money, just like any author, your book needs to sell. Since self-published authors own the copyright to their material, unlike traditionally published authors who sell their copyright to the publisher, our authors must promote their own titles. But Wordclay authors earn more royalties per copy sold then they would with a traditional publisher, so really the earning potential is higher for those writes who have the time and dedication to spread the world about their books.

Thanks for the question, and feel free to ask more in the future.

    -Justin
